For this episode of Peer Talk, Mr. Jacobson's 8th grade computer science class spoke to Bay Area businessman Chris Larsen. Larsen is the co-founder and former CEO of the cryptocurrency company Ripple Labs, Inc., but his roots in tech trace back to the mid-1990s, when he co-founded the company E-Loan. He continued to invest in numerous tech startups from the dot-com boom until today, and his business acumen has made him one of the wealthiest people in the United States.
It was only fitting for a tech businessman to speak to a tech-focused class, and Mr. Larsen was ready to impart some of his decades' worth of business wisdom to Mr. Jacobson's 8th graders — or, as Larsen called them, "the entrepreneurs of tomorrow."
